Tanks and Vessels are an integral part of any chemical process. Polimatrix designs and manufactures tanks of various sizes and configurations to suit the application. Other vessels for specific or customized applications are designed and manufactured in consultation with our clients in order to provide the most effective solution.
Proprietary software is used to calculate wall thicknesses, deflection allowances, external support or stiffening requirements taking into account the chemical reduction factors, temperature, function and design life specific to the application.
Heated vessels and jacketed vessels can also be designed.

RECTANGULAR TANKS
INDUSTRIAL
These can be designed as free standing with or without stiffening from as small as 150mm wide x 400mm long x 150mm high up to 3000mm wide x 15000mm long x 3000mm high.
In certain applications rectangular drop-in liners can also be designed and manufactured
Rectangular Tanks are typically used in the following applications:

FIREFIGHTING TANKS
FIREFIGHTING VEHICLE
Polimatrix designs and manufactures enclosed rectangular vessels and custom shaped tanks for use on firefighting vehicles. This includes small bush firefighting vessels to large fire tenders and ladder units.
These vessels are designed in consultation with the client to ensure the correct fit and a suitable robust construction.
Typical Firefighting vessel configurations:
- Crossed ribbed internal baffle single chamber
- Open ribbed with reinforcing tie-bars – single chamber (baffle balls are used for this configuration)
- Cross-ribbed and open ribbed multi-chamber for firefighting chemicals
- Special application ultra heavy duty mobile vessels
CYLINDRICAL TANKS & VESSELS
We design and manufacture cylindrical tanks and vessels for chemical storage, transfer, neutralizing and mixing applications.
These tanks can be designed with flat base, sloping base or conical base. Tops can be open, flat closed with manway, conical closed with manway, flanged and loose lid.
Tank cylinders can be rolled and buttwelded using our CNC welding equipment or special spiral-wrapped cylinders can be used for applications where size or application require an extreme wall thickness.
